Overview

The Application Specialist is responsible for various aspects of the Certificate Issuance Operation within the Operational Strategy team. The successful candidate will have insurance brokerage experience as a Client Service Representative or have an aptitude for learning the technical and operational aspects of Epic and/or systems support experience related to configuring and supporting Platform Reporting, Client Platform Roll Outs, and Client Portal related experience. The role is a combination of technical, insurance workflow and support for AJG’s insurance broking processes for existing branches and new merger partners. This role will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the system/process, client facing onboarding, Reporting and analytics. Additionally, this Application Specialist will be a member of various project teams, system testing and compliance and interacting with vendors.

The role requires a self-starter who is a quick learner capable of working independently and in a highly collaborative team environment. This team member must excel at meeting deadlines and have superior organizational and problem-solving skills. The candidate will have the experience and ability to support and enable current business and system processes while working on varying projects to improve operational efficiencies and continue to expand AJG’s use of the Gallagher Portal amongst our clients.

How you'll make an impact

  • Perform day-to-day operational processes related to CSR24 and associated interfaces for existing AJG branches
  • Coordinate and execute all steps related to new merger partners for Client Portal onboarding and setup, working closely with M&A integration and conversion teams and merger partner staff
  • Manage CSR24 Conversion Migrations
  • Support CSR24 maintenance updates, including coordinating and executing testing as well as coordinating training and communication efforts and providing go-live approvals
  • Participate in operational strategy and other projects as a subject matter expert and/or owner of assigned tasks
  • Support requests regarding development and enhancement requests for the Platform including submission, testing, communications and rollout
  • Own communication and status reporting related to Platform functions, configuration and performance including User access, maintenance and SOC2 Reporting
  • Manage and Report on Usage Metrics
  • Drive Client Adoption with large scale rollouts and also, client facing demonstrations and onboarding to the Platform
  • Participate in and Manage Gallagher compliant testing processes and communication for new releases for both the Client and Service sides of the Platform
  • Serve as a business application support escalation for the Support Desk for the Platform
  • Perform required system administration tasks including Platform configuration, Script testing and applications
  • Assist IT, vendors and business system analysts in performing root cause analysis and issue remediation
  • Lead and/or participate in evaluating, reviewing and improving existing processes and implementing same
  • Own and update system administration documentation and create new documentation as needed
  • Collaborate with other operational support areas to tie together workflows used in AJG branches and Standard Operating Procedures executed by an off-shore team for an optimal download suspense and escalation process
  • Provide certificate process owner back-up, including coordination of cert interim and renewal tasks with the GSC team
  • Other assignments and duties as required by role.
About You

  • 3+ years working in insurance brokerage, preferably with both commercial and personal lines background
  • 3+ years supporting and resolving issues for agency management systems (Epic & CSR24 Experience preferred), business workflows, production support, user support, configuration troubleshooting, interacting with vendors and carriers
  • Experience with system integrations (APIs)
  • Ability to listen, interpret requests (written and verbal) and/or ask appropriate questions in order to identify and efficiently solve problems by utilizing an analytical, pragmatic approach.
