About the Role

Controllers on the Client Advisory Services (CAS) team provide high-level oversight and technical accounting support for our clients, acting as their go-to financial resource. The Controller will manage the monthly close and reporting process, offer strategic insights, and bring calm confidence to complete financial situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities for assigned clients, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Lead the month-end close process and prepare financial statements
• Advise clients on GAAP compliance, system improvements, and process efficiencies
• Support audit preparation and respond to third-party inquiries (e.g. banks, insurance)
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem solving

Skills & Competencies

• Deep understanding of accounting principles and controls
• Strong command of QuickBooks and Excel-based reporting
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Adaptability to client-specific nuances across different industries

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred
• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Client-facing experience high preferred
