Job Description

As a Product Manager, you will play a strategic and cross-functional role in bridging market insights, flavor applications development, and commercial execution. You will lead consumer-facing initiatives by managing customer projects, driving sampling processes and innovation demos, and developing marketing materials.

Responsibilities

• Own key aspects of trade show planning, presentations, and social media content.

• Lead customer project coordination, utilizing SAP to ensure customer information is provided for projects.

• Coordinate with Applications and R&D to confirm technical feasibility and deadlines.

• Manage the sampling process and track usage to meet customer needs and improve sampling success rate.

• Participate in project and portfolio tastings and provide input into portfolio strategy and product lifecycle management.

• Develop and deliver trend presentations and marketing insights for customers.

• Co-lead the planning, execution, and ROI measurement of trade shows and industry events.

• Assist in the development of social media content.

• Collaborate with sales, applications, and R&D teams to drive flavor concept development, product launches, and category growth.

Essential Skills

• Product management and project management experience.

• Bachelor in food science, with a BS in Food Science, Marketing, or a related field.

• 5-10 years of experience in the flavors or food industry.

• Experience in applications, R&D, project management, or marketing within the food/flavors industry.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong presentation and customer-facing skills.

• Experience in trade show planning and trend analysis.

• Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, CRM, and social media.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• MBA or Masters preferred.

• Digital marketing experience is a plus.

• Team management or mentorship experience is a plus.

• Must be able and willing to taste, smell, and consume a wide variety of foods and beverages, including alcoholic beverages.

Work Environment

This position is based in an office environment in Hoffman Estates with state-of-the-art labs. The role typically requires working Monday through Friday. Travel is necessary for customer presentations, trade shows, and training, including an eventual trip to Germany for training purposes.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
