Mechanic Shop Helper - Entry Level
We are currently looking for a Mechanic Shop Helper for a Full-Time position at our Mechanic Shop in Gilberts, IL.
Job Description
- Power Washing Equipment (trucks, trailers)
- Cleaning Shop- After jobs are finished, putting tools/parts away in the proper spots
- Cleaning Yard with magnet
- Helping mechanics with jobs as needed
- Picking up parts from local stores
- Dropping off and picking up drivers from shops as needed
- Painting trailers, bins, roll-offs, etc.
- Self-Motivated with the ability to keep busy throughout the day
- Listen and follow directions, be open-minded and willing to learn and retain instructions
- Adhering to company policies in the area of safety, health, environment and community
- Maintain positive work relations / Act as a team player with all other employees
- All other duties assigned
- Valid Drivers License is Required
- Must be reliable and have transportation to and from work
Physical Demands
- Responsibilities primarily performed by standing / walking 90% of the time
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
- Normal range of vision, depth perception and hearing is needed
- Ability to bend, stoop and reach above the shoulders is required
- The ability to work in both extreme heat and cold weather conditions is required
Hours of Availability
The candidate must be able to work any hours of operation Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm.
