We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to support our operations and legal teams. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy precision-driven work, and are motivated to ensure high-quality client representation. The Medical Records Specialist will manage medical record orders, organize legal documents, and handle requests for medical information while following established procedures. Additional administrative and file management tasks will be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Request, receive, process, and track medical and billing records from healthcare providers.
- Assist attorneys, Client Services, and Litigation Operations with medical records ordering and production.
- Organize, scan, upload, and maintain medical and legal documents in firm systems.
- Review and verify medical records and billing statements for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Communicate professionally with medical providers, clients, attorneys, and staff.
- Prioritize and manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–4 years of experience in records management, medical records, or similar administrative environment
- Strong PC and data-entry skills, including Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Strong written communication skills with accuracy in grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a law firm or litigation environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and/or litigation documents
- Experience working with Salesforce
