Service Plumber

Join American Vintage Home, the award-winning air conditioning, heating, and plumbing expert of the Chicago North Shore area and beyond located in Evanston. We are seeking a skilled and versatile Plumbing Technician to join our team with expertise in service or installation. The successful plumber will be responsible for providing exceptional service through diagnosing and troubleshooting various plumbing issues and/or installing plumbing equipment. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of related plumbing experience.

Compensation:

Our plumbers receive up to $55 per hour plus monthly bonuses averaging $1k+

Key Responsibilities:

Service Plumber - Diagnosing & Troubleshooting:

· Perform drain clearing, cleaning, rodding, and jetting.

· Address issues with water heaters (gas, electric, tankless), sump pumps, ejector pumps, gas lines, bathroom fixtures, low water pressure, no hot water, leaking faucets and pipes, burst pipes, garbage disposal, and various pipe work.

· Expertise in sewer line maintenance, covering backflow, repair, flooding, clogs, and backups.

Installation Plumber:

· Install fixtures and appliances.

· Conduct pipe replacement using various materials such as galvanized, cast iron, copper, PVC, ABS, PEX.

· Undertake sewer and drain line replacement.

· Install and maintain sump pumps and ejector pumps.

· Perform sump pump backups and handle excavation and hand digs when required.

· Collaborate in a teamwork environment with superiors, peers, and apprentices.

· Display a personable and professional demeanor with both customers and the team.
