About the Role

As Director of Accounting, you’ll lead a team of talented professionals— leading Accounting Managers, Account Leads and Support Staff. You’ll take ownership of financial reporting, ensure all clients’ financials are timely, accurate, and insightful. You’ll be the firm’s accounting backbone and a strategic partner to leadership, shaping systems and processes that scale with our growth. Your leadership will directly empower restaurant owners to make smarter financial decisions, helping them thrive in an industry known for its challenges. By refining our systems and mentoring our team, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling EHS into the go-to accounting partner for the restaurant industry. What Your Day to Day Will Look Like
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Accounting Managers and Account Leads across multiple restaurant clients-building a best of the best team
  • Oversee financial reporting and month-end close across all accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and consistency
  • Review financial packages, variance reports, and analysis ensuring clients receive timely, accurate and actionable insights
  • Standardize accounting processes and quality controls across the firm
  • Implement and optimize accounting systems and integrations (QuickBooks Online, Ottimate, LiveFlow, Restaurant365, etc.)
  • Support strategic client relationships and serve as a senior advisor on complex financial issues
  • Collaborate with leadership on staffing strategy, workflow improvements, and firm growth initiatives
  • Drive team accountability, performance, and alignment with EHS’s restaurant-first service model
What You Need to Succeed
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within hospitality, multi-unit environments
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams or overseeing multiple client portfolios
  • Deep understanding of restaurant financial operations and reporting cycles
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Toast POS and Advanced Excel skills.
  • Bonus for Ottimate, and LiveFlow experience
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills — able to coach, guide, and set a high bar
  • Accounting degree or CPA
  • A balance of detail orientation and big-picture thinking, with the ability to make quick, informed decisions
