An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist with inpatient hospital experience to contribute expertise in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This contract position offers a dynamic schedule with a mix of days, evenings, and rotating weekends, providing exposure to diverse inpatient pharmacy operations.
Location:
- Des Plaines, IL
Contract Duration:
- 13-week assignment starting March 23
Schedule:
- Mix of day and evening shifts
- Rotating weekends
Responsibilities:
- Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including medication verification and checking
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient workflow
- Verify IV medication preparations
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and order verification
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Current Illinois pharmacist license
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment
