Job Title: Battery Technician

Project: Battery Swap - Data Center UPS Replacement
Location: Based out of Northern VA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Duration: 6 Month contract to hire
Travel: Overnight travel is possible
Overview:
Join a hands-on, labor-intensive project replacing approximately 9,000 UPS batteries (each weighing 110-120 lbs.) in a Data Center environment. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to break into the DC Power Plant world. Prior experience is required; anything related to low voltage. There will be on-the-job training and formal training will be provided.
What You'll Do:
+ Safely remove and replace heavy UPS batteries
+ Work as part of a team in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
+ Learn and grow within the DC Power/Data Center industry
Requirements:
+ Basic hand tools
+ Completion of initial Online Training
+ Driver license - there is traveling involved
Preferred Skills
+ Experience with punchdown and structured cabling.
+ Low-voltage and cable technician experience.
+ Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics (preferred).
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; heavier loads with assistance.
+ Comfortable working in warehouse/data center environments with varying conditions.
+ Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
+ Forklift operation experience (or willingness to train).
+ Ability to differentiate colors for wiring tasks.
+ Willingness to be on-call and travel overnight as needed.
+ Compliance with PPE requirements at all times.
+ Participation in regular onboarding and training programs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
