Manufacturing Buyer & Planner

Position Overview

We are a global company committed to delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-efficient products to customers across diverse industries. As part of our continued growth and focus on operational excellence, we are seeking a Buyer / Planner to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory management.

This position is fully onsite and reports directly to operations leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute daily planning, scheduling, and purchasing activities within the ERP system.

- Manage confirmed production orders, work instructions, and order packets through the full lifecycle.

- Perform plant-level purchasing, including generating mill orders, issuing purchase orders, and maintaining material availability.

- Maintain strong vendor relationships to support on-time delivery, quality, and cost performance.

- Monitor inventory levels, verify stock accuracy, and prevent shortages or production delays.

- Expedite materials when needed while maintaining a forward-thinking, strategic planning approach.

- Collaborate with production, planning, logistics, and finance teams to align material flow with operational goals.

- Support improvements in ERP accuracy, planning discipline, and overall process efficiency.

- Operate as a hands-on contributor capable of managing day-to-day work in a dynamic, high-mix environment.

Qualifications

- ERP proficiency

- Manufacturing experience required; high-mix production strongly preferred.

- Background in purchasing, planning, scheduling, or hybrid Buyer / Planner roles.

- Ability to verify inventory and support production needs directly on the plant floor.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with vendors.

- Forward-thinking mindset with strong attention to detail and planning accuracy.
