Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Science Endorsement for Middle Grades (5-8 or 6-9)
• Strong background in general education and science instruction
• Previous classroom experience at the middle school level preferred
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Passion for developing critical thinking and scientific inquiry in students

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state standards to middle school students
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture where students feel empowered to participate and succeed
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials that inspire curiosity and academic achievement
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to support student development and curricular initiatives
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities
