Private Client Tax Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Private Client Tax Manager in Buffalo Grove, IL . This is a hands-on managerial role where you will directly impact client relationships and firm operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements for high-net-worth clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Develop strategic tax recommendations while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to resolve complex tax issues efficiently and creatively.
• Utilize technology to optimize internal workflows and client-facing processes.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and execution of Individual, Trust, Estate, and Gift tax returns.
• Communicate clearly with clients and team members to exceed expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification with an active license.
• Minimum of 7 years of public accounting tax experience; 1+ year in a senior managerial capacity preferred.
• Expertise in Individual, Gift, Estate, and Trust tax compliance and advisory.
• Proven experience delivering tax planning and solutions for high-net-worth clients.
• Strong problem-solving, initiative, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent project management and leadership abilities with a client-focused approach.
