Inventory Clerk
Location: Aurora, IL (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm | Possible overtime | No weekends or travelAbout the Role
The Inventory Audit Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by comparing physical counts to office records and resolving discrepancies. This role involves verifying clerical computations, investigating variances, preparing reports, and recommending actions for defective or unusable items. The position requires strong attention to detail, computer proficiency, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Count merchandise in stock and post totals to inventory records.
Compare inventories against office records, sales orders, production records, or invoices to ensure accuracy.
Verify clerical computations against physical counts and adjust errors as needed.
Investigate discrepancies and report root causes.
Generate reports such as inventory balances and shortages.
Prepare lists of depleted items and recommend review of defective or unusable stock.
Collaborate with team members on case management and inventory-related projects.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required.
Experience: Previous inventory control, audit, or coordination experience preferred (titles such as Inventory Control or Inventory Audit Coordinator applicable).
Technical Skills:
Basic computer experience (Microsoft Office, email communication).
Ability to interpret and understand measurements.
Soft Skills: Strong collaboration skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; attention to detail.
