Sr. Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Tax Associate to join our tax department. This individual will play a key role in managing tax engagements, preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, mentoring junior staff, and directly advising clients.

• Salary: $100-$120k

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and non-profits

• Conduct tax planning and research for clients across various industries

• Identify and mitigate tax risks through thoughtful planning and analysis

• Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships

• Supervise and mentor junior staff and interns

• Interact directly with clients to provide high-level service and support

• Stay up to date on changes in tax law and regulations, and communicate relevant updates to the team

• Assist in IRS and state tax audits and correspondence

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required

• CPA license or actively pursuing CPA designation preferred.

• 3–6 years of public accounting tax experience is a must.

• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws

• Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or similar)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple projects

• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with real estate, pass-through entities, and high-net-worth individuals

• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with client accounting services is a plus
