Nurse Manager
This leadership role oversees and supports a team of RNs and CNAs providing hospice and/or home health services. The Nurse Manager ensures staff training, documentation quality, regulatory compliance, and performance evaluations. Key responsibilities include staff supervision, interdisciplinary team meetings, orientation, audits, hiring involvement, and hands-on clinical support as needed. The role also contributes to education, policy development, and risk management efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, mentor, and precept assigned clinical staff (RNs and CNAs)
- Perform timely and objective performance evaluations
- Lead new staff orientation and complete orientation checklists
- Ensure clinical documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant
- Participate in clinical and administrative on-call rotation weekends
- Help develop, revise, and evaluate policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) only
- Experience:
- 2+ years in a supervisory/management role
- Hospice, oncology, senior living, or home health background required
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Nursing
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Assertive, collaborative, and able to lead experienced clinical staff
