Construction Project Manager - EV Charging

Job Description
You are an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 3-5 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.
*25% travel to various job sites and must live close to a Hub Airport*
Specific job expectations:
- Lead site feasibility assessments, including performing technical review and management of 3rd party contractors, to support the deployment of EV charging deployment.
- Develop and maintain design standards for EV charger deployment by jurisdiction including relevant building codes and internal design requirements.
- Delivery of SMART outcomes, including zero HSSE incidents, below target cost for installation per site per charge points, and successful commission of sites required by plan
Responsibilities:
- Manage client teams, including architects, engineers and supply chain to deliver compliant projects
- Can analyze, track and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
- Work closely with program manager and commercial teams to contribute to the success of the project and raise concerns/ask for support early.
- Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required
- Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are being applied correctly
- Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews
- Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications
- Forecast and update key project milestones
- Develop and own the risk management process.
- Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders
- Rapid response to RFIs from the field
- Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required
- Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers
- Client management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities
- Strategic Thinking - provide advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectives
- Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is captured
- Process improvement – Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes
- Contribute to annual budgets and planning
- Travel – to various job sites around Houston, Texas
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
- Construction / Project Management Professional certification
- OSHA-10
- Willingness to work on-site 5 days per week
- Strong organizational and management skills – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Effective presentation skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience required
- The candidate should have experience working on Oil and Gas corporate RE facilities
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $125K-$150 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications
