Construction Engineer

Description

Perform tasks primarily related to Construction Engineering for municipal infrastructure projects Assist with construction layout and resident engineering duties Serve as a liaison between municipal representatives and other governmental agencies Monitor and document construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders throughout the construction process Provide support for project scheduling, cost tracking, and quality assurance Opportunity to participate in pre-project planning and preparation of construction plans and specifications (if desired) Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for project progress and compliance Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements on-site

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Municipal Civil Engineering High School Diploma required Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution (preferred) IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Certification (preferred) Proven experience with Transportation & Infrastructure projects Strong communication skills Team-oriented mindset with collaborative approach Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license Confidence and capability to implement field changes as necessary

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
