Assistant Concession Manager - Rice Pool - Seasonal

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the aquatic concession area.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age plus a minimum of two (2) years in a food service position with cashier duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Assist with training, supervising and evaluating staff.
2. Assist with checking inventory daily and ordering supplies.
3. Skilled in use of concession equipment.
4. Assist with evaluating concession operation and preparing daily reports.
5. Assist with opening and closing procedures.
6. Assist with daily staff schedules.
7. Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
8. Follow the Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
9. Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis.
10. Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC

This position must have an adult/child CPR certification and ServSafe certificate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position must be able to occasionally move items such as a pallet of soda weighing up to 25 lbs. This position will be required to frequently move about the concession area and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, and reach. This position will be required to stand for extended periods of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

This position must be able to be exposed to all extreme summer weather conditions including heat, sun, rain, and varying degrees of temperature and light. This position will also frequently be exposed to hot oils, grills, stoves, and cleaning chemicals and cleaning supplies and be able to work in an environment that will be very warm at times due to outside weather conditions and the heat of the equipment.\

SALARY

Looking to hire at $15.00 per hour

SALARY RANGE

Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum

$15.00 - $18.75 - $22.50
