Interior Designer / Project Coordinator
New Perspective Design | Cary, IL | Full-Time | In-Office
New Perspective Design is a luxury residential interior design firm seeking a detail-oriented Interior Designer / Project Coordinator to support the technical development and execution of our high-end residential projects.
This role is ideal for a career designer who enjoys the technical side of design — producing drawings, renderings, cabinetry layouts, and material specifications — and wants hands-on experience working alongside builders and trades on full-home renovations and new construction projects.
You will help translate design concepts into precise, buildable documentation.
What You’ll Do
- Develop floor plans, elevations, and drawing sets in Chief Architect
- Produce 3D interior and exterior renderings
- Assist with cabinetry design, specification, and quoting
- Prepare construction-ready installation drawings
- Support material selections including lighting, plumbing, countertops, and finishes
- Conduct site measurements and verify field conditions
- Coordinate with builders, installers, and vendors
- Support project timelines related to drawings, approvals, and ordering
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Interior Design or related field
- Proficiency in Chief Architect (required)
- Experience in cabinetry specification and quoting
- Ability to produce technical drawings and renderings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
- 2+ years of residential interior design experience
