Integrated Account Director
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integrated Account Director to join a collaborative, digitally driven marketing agency. This is a highly client-facing role responsible for leading integrated marketing programs, developing trusted client relationships, and partnering with cross-functional creative, media, analytics, and project management teams.
The ideal candidate has a strong background leading account management within a marketing or advertising agency. Experience supporting travel, tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing clients is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary client lead for integrated media, brand, and creative programs.
- Build trusted client relationships and act as a strategic day-to-day advisor.
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns from strategy and planning through execution and measurement.
- Translate client objectives and business priorities into comprehensive marketing plans and proposals.
- Lead internal and client-facing meetings, presentations, campaign recaps, POVs, and strategic discussions.
- Develop and review creative briefs, campaign planning documents, messaging strategies, and integrated marketing plans.
- Partner closely with creative, media, analytics, strategy, project management, and business development teams.
- Monitor account performance, revenue pacing, forecasting, SOWs, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and expanded client partnerships.
- Mentor and develop junior account team members.
- Provide final QA of client deliverables and ensure work meets client expectations and agency standards.
- Analyze campaign results and effectively communicate performance and key insights to clients.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of integrated account management experience within a marketing or advertising agency.
- Demonstrated experience serving as the primary client-facing lead for major accounts.
- Experience managing integrated campaigns across creative/brand and media channels.
- Strong experience developing creative briefs, campaign planning documents, and integrated marketing strategies.
- Financial fluency within an agency environment, including SOW management, revenue forecasting, budget pacing, profitability, and account growth.
- Experience leading cross-functional agency teams.
- Strong client presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Executive presence and the ability to serve as a strategic advisor to clients.
- Experience mentoring and developing team members.
- Ability to work onsite in Chicago every Monday and Wednesday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Travel, tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing experience.
- Experience leading both creative/brand and media-focused programs.
- Strong understanding of digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Experience identifying and developing organic account growth opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strategic and highly collaborative agency account leader who can balance client relationships, integrated campaign strategy, team leadership, and account financials. This person should be comfortable owning high-level client conversations while remaining closely involved in campaign execution and cross-functional delivery.
