About this Opportunity
The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a critical role in the procurement process at Intrinsic Schools. Through collaboration with others, the Accounts Payable Specialist strives for continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process invoices and requests for payment in a timely manner, monitoring accounts payable aging
• Obtain and file all required documents for new vendors/contractors and subcontractors
• Maintain vendor relationships, responding in a timely manner to vendor inquiries and requests
• Reconcile account statements and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare checks for mailing/distribution
• Create purchase orders for purchase requisitions, coordinate purchases with vendors, and monitor the status of orders
• Verify, match, and file all pertinent documentation related to purchases, receipts of goods, and invoices
• General office clerical and administrative functions
• Additional duties or special projects assigned by the Director of Finance and Operations

Required Skills/Abilities

• Associate’s degree OR 2-4 years of prior accounts payable or bookkeeping experience
• Able to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Able to meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Technology savvy and comfortable working in a technology driven environment
• Strong work ethic
• Result Oriented
