Position Overview:

• Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and all other corresponding unit areas.
• Will follow prescribed departmental cleaning standards in conjunction with infection control and safety procedures.

Pay Rate: $17.00-$18.00/Hour


Responsibilities:

• Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops.
• Vacuums, spot cleans walls, cleans glass / ledges.
• Sanitizes patient room surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms.
• Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms.
• Cleans equipment and notifies the supervisor or lead person of equipment requiring repair.
• Reports safety hazards to supervisor or lead person.
• Collects trash from patient rooms, nurses' stations, ancillary areas
• Pulls trash outside around the grounds of the facility.
• Cleans and sanitizes ancillary areas.
• Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or reported.
• Performs any other tasks which may be assigned by the supervisor or lead person.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 months – 1 year of environmental services experience in a hospital, high school diploma or equivalent GED (preferred).
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Capable of operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums.

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30); Job Duration: 26 weeks (with possibility of contract-to-hire)
