Front Desk/Marketing Coordinator

The Chicago Industrial Arts & Design Center (CIADC) is hiring!

CIADC is a non-profit organization that provides education and working access to the Chicagoland public in 4 Departments: Metal Casting, Metalworking & Forging, CNC Fabrication, and Woodworking. We offer programming for Youth and Adults of all abilities and interests!

We are looking for the right person to join our dynamic team as Front Desk/Marketing Coordinator. This is an in-person, part-time position at our Rogers Park facility.

The role of this position includes:
1. Acting as customer support for the Chicago Industrial Arts & Design Center by fulfilling front desk / reception area duties

2. Promoting programming activities online and in-house via website, social media, email campaigns, print collateral, and curating our in-house gallery space

The ideal candidate:
Can commit to a part-time typical weekly schedule of Mondays – Thursdays, 4pm-10:30pm
Connects with our Mission of providing creative industrial arts access to youth and adults
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
Is very organized, detail-oriented, and effective with project management
Has basic graphic design and layout experience for print and digital promotional materials and is proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Publisher
Is experienced creating e-newsletters using Mailchimp or similar
Demonstrates proficiency with social media for business
Has familiarity with Squarespace website design and editing
Is knowledgeable with basic studio photography and editing of 3D objects
