Global Logistics Manager

Position: Global Logistics Manager

This position oversees and coordinates the organization’s domestic & international supply chain, optimizing the transportation, storage, and delivery of goods worldwide while ensuring compliance with global trade regulations. The Position will report into the Head of Supply Chain and work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to align logistics operations with corporate objectives.

The Global Logistics Manager is responsible for managing logistics from vendors to both the Company’s manufacturing locations and direct to clients, coordinating shipments across international borders, developing relationships with key logistics suppliers globally, ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet company and customer expectations, and improving cost expectations. The position will also be responsible for staying abreast of global market conditions that may impact the logistical delivery of the supply chain or goods to clients.

Specifically, the role will be responsible for optimizing our global logistics, driving strategic planning and sourcing of options, developing new providers and strategic relationships both domestically and abroad, optimizing our spend on logistics of supply, assisting in managing ETAs to ensure visibility to the workflows. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in international logistics management particularly sea and air freight from Asia to North America and Europe; sea and air freight from Europe to North America; and multi-modal experience withing the North American market and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement global logistics strategies aligned with and support business objectives while improving efficiencies and reducing costs

· Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, transportation working closely with the warehousing, and inventory management teams at each location to ensure efficient and optimized operations and space management

· Manage budgets, contracts, and procurement of freight services while ensuring cost-effectiveness

· Report and Resolve logistics-related issues, such as delays, discrepancies, or damages, ensuring customer satisfaction

· Lead, coach, and manage a team of logistics professionals to achieve operational objectives

· Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, company policies, customs, any environmental requirements and hazardous goods requirements

· Collaborate & coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, procurement, engineering, operations, and finance, to align supply chain goals, and align production schedules and financial optimization

· Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, brokers, carriers, and customs brokers for seamless global operations

· Manage overarching logistics supplier / broker relationships and corporate contracts to manage compliance, and to ensure cost savings and quality

· Lead relationship management, ensuring high performance, risk mitigation, and compliance

· Oversee / optimize logistics and transportation, including import/export compliance and customs regulations for efficiency, on-time delivery and cost reductions

· Identify and resolve bottlenecks, disruptions, and risks

· Implement & drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and data analytics for optimization, and lean methodologies

· Track and report KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost savings

· Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field (MBA preferred)

· 10+ years of proven experience in logistics management, supply chain operations, or a related field

· Strong negotiation, strategic sourcing, and contract management skills

· Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, logistics and supply chain analytics

· Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

· Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
