Role Overview
The Junior Research Associate will support Gaucher’s Utility Due Diligence and Project
Management efforts by performing research, setting up new projects in internal systems,
and assisting with client deliverables. This role will help ensure accurate, timely reporting
on utility availability, fees, and timelines, and provide essential administrative and project
support to keep client projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering,
Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in construction, utility work, project
coordination, or project management required.
- Familiarity with project management workflows.
- Ability to conduct professional correspondence and document research findings
clearly.
- Understanding of utility processes (electric, gas, water, sewer) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle
multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present
findings effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Utility Research & Due Diligence
- Assist with Utility Due Diligence Reports (UDDRs), including researching
processes, timelines, and costs for utility connections and upgrades.
- Conduct web research and communicate with utility providers, municipalities,
engineers, architects, and clients to gather relevant data.
- Support creation of UDDR documents and entry of research findings into the
proprietary database.
- Verify and update vendor information; create new vendor records as needed.
- Track and communicate changes in utility company rates, rules, and policies to
internal teams and clients.
- Provide ongoing specialized research for client requests, including sustainable and
emissions-reduction utility options.
Project & Database Support
- Set up all new facilities in the internal database, ensuring accurate entry of client,
project, and vendor information.
- Establish and maintain project milestones within the project management system
to support timely delivery.
- Populate UDDR forms in Tririga, including vendor status, project status, and other
assigned fields.
- Update project timelines and monitor project status throughout the UDDR cycle.
- Investigate and resolve billing inquiries for newly opened sites.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate and order site visits with plumbers, sewer scope vendors, or other
contractors; track timing and gather results.
- Liaise with vendors and stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection and
reporting.
- Participate in client and Gaucher team meetings, effectively communicating
research findings and supporting project discussions.
- Answer stakeholder questions and provide clarification on reports and findings.
- Act as a point of contact for UPM for application submissions and data collection
for project support.
Ongoing Tasks & Development
- Attend weekly one-on-one meetings with supervisor and internal team check-ins.
- Perform additional research and administrative duties as assigned.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of research workflows, vendor
resources, and reporting accuracy.
Work Environment
- Remote with client/vendor interactions conducted virtually.
- Fast-paced consulting environment requiring responsiveness and adaptability.
- Regular video meetings with G&A’s project management team and clients.
- Standard business hours with some flexibility to meet client deadlines.
Preferred Locations for the role are located within PST and MST timezones.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
