Summary of PositionThe Production Director plays a key role in creating environments where the arts can tell God’s story in a creative and compelling way at Christ Church’s Contemporary and Classic worship services, ministry gatherings and special events. This person helps shape, build and support the Production Team, recruits, trains, and oversees volunteers and casual production staff, and maintains equipment and systems. The Production Director oversees the creation and production of content for video stories and podcast programs. This individual also plays a key role in the assessment, staffing and management of outside events.

Essential Functions

1. Provide leadership and administrative oversight managing all aspects of production including budgeting, staffing, project management, maintenance, repair and purchase planning at both the Oak Brook and Butterfield location
2. Pioneer new ways the technical arts, especially video, can enhance worship and create meaningful opportunities for the congregation and guests so that people’s hearts will be open to the life-changing message of Jesus
3. Recruits, trains, shepherds and manages staff and volunteers.
4. Serves on the Worship Arts and Communication Leadership Team to collaborate, create and deliver life-changing worship, special events and digital assets
5. Provide video leadership and coordination for Sunday Classic and Contemporary worship in person and online services

• Support church-wide initiatives and special events – assist with Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day services, outreach and mission events by serving in flexible roles beyond primary ministry responsibilities.
• Engage in ongoing personal and professional development through training, reading, coaching or mentoring, in order to grow as a leader and servant of Christ.
• Collaborate across ministries to ensure alignment, share resources, and strengthen unity on our staff teams.

• Maintain a posture of flexibility by assisting with projects or assignments outside the immediate scope of the role when needed.

Required Qualifications Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in managing and supervising others

• 3+ years of demonstrated technical experience and expertise in video, audio and lighting
• Production/technical arts experience in church production, event production, or television

• Support and model individual spiritual formation i.e. Worship, Grow and Serve. (Weekly worship, prayer, scripture reading, small group, volunteering/service, etc.).
• Regularly attends worship and participates in ministry events at Christ Church or a Christ Church campus unless exempted by Christ Church leadership.
