Assistant General Manager

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dynamic Assistant General Manager to lead our team and uphold our standards of excellence.
Position Summary:
The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, ensuring an unparalleled guest experience, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and achieving the restaurant's operational goals. The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations while maintaining the highest standards of service, hospitality, and professionalism. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, ensuring seamless front-of-house execution, staff development, and exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring service excellence and consistency
Lead, coach, and support FOH staff, including hosts, servers, bartenders, and support teams
Uphold fine-dining service standards, guest engagement, and hospitality culture
Act as Manager-on-Duty in the General Manager’s absence
Monitor guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and closeout reports
Support scheduling, timecard approvals, tip out systems, and labor cost management
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations
Collaborate with culinary and management teams to execute events, private dining, and special services
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a fine dining restaurant environment, with at least 2 years in an Assistant General Manager or similar senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Extensive knowledge of fine dining service standards, food and beverage operations (wine included), and hospitality best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, including POS systems and reservation platforms.
- A genuine passion for food, wine, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Knowledge of Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine is a plus.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent is required.
