Warehouse Lead

What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Operations Leader, the Warehouse Lead role will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and guiding one warehouse associate. This role plays a key part in inventory management, order fulfillment, and fostering a productive and safe work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Track stock levels and report discrepancies.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of items.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Report operational issues and performance metrics to management.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, productivity, and incidents.
- Checks packaging of products per company policy to ensure quality completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
- Use appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs.
- Collaborate with other departments and customers for on time shipment.
- Maintains clean and orderly workspace with focus on workplace organization and housekeeping (6S).
- Ensure compliance with overseas shipping and receiving requirements like special crating, import/export regulations and customs documentation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or business is a plus.
- 2–5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Forklift certification (preferred). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.

- Ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in warehouse work.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Utilize basic math skills in all units of measurement.
- Basic ability in reading and writing.

- Regular attendance is critical and required for this position.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear, and be able to tolerate repetitive motion during the full course of a scheduled shift.
- Must be able to lift and/or move more than fifty (50) pounds.
- Able to physically multitask.
Work Environment:
This position regularly works in a typical warehouse environment, including being near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. Most of their time, the Electrical Panel Builder will spend time in the plant with low to moderate exposure to noise, heat, and cold environment, other physical requirements include walking, bending, hand dexterity, speaking, seeing, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds Steel toe shoes, earplugs, and safety glasses are always required while on the production floor.
