M&K Truck Centers is seeking an experienced and driven Regional Used Truck Sales Manager (RUTSM) to lead and grow our used truck operations across locations in IN, IL and MO. This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of Used Truck Sales Representatives and Technicians, with a strong focus on meeting or exceeding sales goals within the Heavy Duty and Medium Duty truck segments.
The RUTSM will oversee all aspects of sales performance, personnel management, inventory control, and reconditioning processes, while ensuring profitability and exceptional customer service in their designated Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and manage a high-performing team of Used Truck Sales Representatives and Technicians.
Drive achievement of sales volume and profit goals across assigned locations.
Maintain accountability for P&L performance within assigned AOR.
Set clear sales targets and margin goals for each salesperson; monitor performance and provide guidance as needed.
Regularly review sales forecasts, prospecting efforts, lead generation, and closing ratios.
Develop and assign sales territories, ensuring balanced and effective coverage.
Monitor and support outbound marketing efforts, lead tracking, and CRM (Lead Master) updates.
Conduct regular market analysis and adjust strategies to stay competitive and customer-focused.
Oversee reconditioning standards for cosmetic and mechanical repairs; ensure completion within budget.
Audit trade-ins for accuracy, quality, and adherence to trade terms and written appraisals.
Manage technician workflow and efficiency within the Used Truck Department.
Review all sales transactions for profitability, pricing accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and compensation structures.
Ensure inventory listings and advertising platforms are current, accurate, and aligned with brand standards.
Assist in sourcing and appraising used truck inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and maximize profitability.
Qualifications
2-5 years of sales management experience in the commercial truck or automotive industry.
Proven leadership and team-building skills.
Strong understanding of used truck market trends and reconditioning processes.
P&L management experience preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel regionally as required.
A CDL is preferred but not required.
