Company Description

Our client is looking for a seasoned individual who is able to function as a core Operations Developer, independent enough to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues immediately. The developer is able to navigate through operational, risk and market monitoring alerts with savvy communication skills to interact with external entities and internal counterparts. The preference is for an individual that has worked in a operations developer environment, is fluent in scripting languages, and is able to build technical solutions.

Job Description

• Required on-call responsibility (12-8pm CDT) for hybrid. Day shift are regular working hours.
• Monitor Production systems and triage issues that arise to resolve immediate issue
• Perform root-cause analysis to develop sustainable automated solutions
• Technically able to support and troubleshoot alerts and errors - Alerts from proprietary risk engines (stuck and rejected orders, etc).
• Keep up communication with new and existing external business interfaces --- day-to-day operation, planning connectivity, exchange upgrades

• Overseeing communication with others internally - project managing across different functions to plan exchange upgrades, hardware refreshes, and other improvements/rollouts.

Qualifications

• Competence in Python, able to edit and create scripts, with 3+ years of experience.
• Linux systems administration experience, with relevant, current knowledge
• Proficiency in SQL and Linux systems, with 3+ years of working experience
• Applicable network knowledge, good working knowledge of TCP/IP
• Experience developing solutions for execution systems --- sustainable, long-term solutions.
• Experience delivering or deploying large-scale software in production
• environments
• Systems Architecture - knowledge and experience with distributed systems
• Software Architecture - knowledge and understanding of large code maintenance and enhancement
• Flexible to design technology solutions most suitable to each individual situation
• Highly analytical mindset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Results oriented, highly flexible, team player
