We are looking for an exceptional SolidWorks Guru to join our Engineering team as the primary owner of our configurator software , powered by Infor CPQ . This key role will lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of product configurators that enable rapid customer-specific product design and quoting.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for SolidWorks model automation across our Infor CPQ configurator platform.
• Develop and maintain robust, modular SolidWorks part and assembly models that support a wide range of product configurations.
• Design and script configurator logic and rules to drive CAD model behavior within Infor CPQ .
• Build VBA scripts and macros to automate repetitive modeling tasks and streamline design processes.
• Collaborate closely with Design Engineering, Sales, Product Management, and Manufacturing teams to ensure configuration rules align with business and engineering logic.
• Maintain the SQL databases used to drive configuration data, option tables, and pricing models.
• Implement continuous improvements in configurator performance, usability, and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot model and logic issues, diagnose system errors, and implement corrective actions rapidly.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks , including parametric modeling, configurations, design tables, and automation techniques.
• Strong VBA programming experience for SolidWorks macro development.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with SQL databases (e.g., writing queries, table maintenance, data validation).
• Previous experience with CPQ platforms (preferably Infor CPQ or similar rule-based systems).
• Proven interest in automation, process optimization, and data-driven engineering .
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience implementing or supporting CAD-integrated CPQ systems .
• Familiarity with Infor SyteLine ERP systems and integration workflows.
• Exposure to API integration, scripting languages (e.g., Python), or CAD software SDKs.
