Software Engineer
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable computer systems that manage large volumes of information and fulfill business goals for Stripe and its partners.
- Design, implement, and deploy rules systems that produce internal assessments, perform scoring, and automate financial-risk mitigation.
- Build tools that ingest and process signals from various sources for partner teams.
- Participate in the complete software development workflow, including large-scale deployment.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe’s engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a 3- or 4-year U.S. or foreign degree is accepted.
- Four years of experience in software development or a related occupation.
- Four years of experience building software solutions in Python, Ruby, Objective-C, C++, or similar technologies.
- Four years of experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable systems.
- Four years of experience translating business needs into software requirements and designs.
- Four years of experience debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Four years of experience with distributed systems.
Benefits
