CAD Technician - Entry Level
- Produce and draft 2D basemaps and plan sheets for gas distribution and transmission projects.
- Create drawing sets for distribution and transmission projects.
- Apply and ensure drafting standards are met.
- Collaborate with engineers and senior CAD technicians/designers to clarify project scope and resolve issues.
- Contribute to CAD standards development and drafting tools.
- Visit the field quarterly to visually assess projects.
- Perform additional assignments to advance departmental and organizational objectives.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D Basics.
- Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, schematics, and maps.
- 0-2 years of experience with drafting preferred.
- Associates Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- AutoCAD Certification is a plus.
- Experience with utility drafting, base mapping, and gas distribution.
This is a Permanent position based out of Naperville, IL.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
