Quality Inspector

Job Description: Quality Inspector

We are seeking a diligent Quality Inspector with the ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and perform quality inspections using gages and inspection tools. The ideal candidate will have a experience in quality inspection and possess a strong understanding of measurement and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.

• Update inspection reports and conduct visual inspections, utilizing some measuring tools.

• Interpret engineering drawings and read drawing notes to ensure compliance.

• Conduct first article inspection reports (FAIRs) as needed.

• Participate in creating and maintaining PPAPs, drafting PFMEAs, and developing Control Plans.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Inspection, Gage Calibration, or as a Quality Technician.

• Proficiency in using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gages.

• Ability to measure parts and compare them to blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electronics, especially in circuit board manufacturing, PCBA, or electro-mechanical manufacturing.

• Familiarity with quality documentation and schematics.

Work Environment

Choose between two shifts: the 1st shift in Elgin from 6am to 2:30pm, or the 2nd shift in Buffalo Grove from 2pm to 10:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
