Senior Payroll Specialist

LaSalle Network is hiring a detail-driven Payroll Specialist to join a fast-paced accounting team supporting critical payroll and financial operations. This Payroll Specialist role is perfect for someone who thrives in a deadline-oriented environment, enjoys balancing analytical work with cross-functional collaboration and takes pride in accuracy. The ideal Payroll Specialist will bring strong payroll processing experience, accounting knowledge and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

• Process bi-weekly payroll, including timesheet verification, payroll calculations, deductions and leave accruals

• Calculate sales commissions, draws and bonus structures accurately

• Review and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Code invoices and enter financial data into accounting software

• Track project expenses, labor costs, addendums and change orders

• Prepare payroll registers, reconciliation reports and supporting documentation

• Assist with month-end, job-end and year-end close activities

• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations and journal entries

• Support audits by gathering backup documentation and maintaining records

• Maintain payroll and benefits documentation and reporting updates

• Mentor junior accounting staff as needed and support special projects

• Ensure compliance with company procedures and confidentiality standards

What’s Needed?:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and payroll experience

• Experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment

• Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals and financial reporting

• Experience with Sage software strongly preferred

• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines with minimal supervision

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work a full-time, on-site schedule

Key Details:

• Compensation: $80,000 – $95,000
