The Role

As a General Lawyer on our team you will be part of Kyndryl’s Cybersecurity, Privacy, Data & AI Legal team (“CPDA Legal”), a global cybersecurity, privacy, data, AI and regulatory legal team spread among the U.S., U.K. and multiple EU countries and supporting a dynamic global business.

Preferred Location: Ideally, you'll be located in the Eastern or Central time zones of the United States to more effectively collaborate with Legal and business colleagues supporting incident response activities relating to cybersecurity incidents arising throughout the US, the UK, Europe and, occasionally, in APAC/MEA and Japan.

The role would suit a candidate that has an international outlook and ability to interact with legal and business colleagues around the globe on a variety of cybersecurity, privacy and regulatory matters.

In this role you will work on a wide range of cybersecurity, data security and related regulatory matters, as well as data governance, privacy and AI matters; provide legal advice and guidance to business teams, including members of the Chief Information Security Office (CISO), the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), the Security & Resiliency (S&R) and Delivery Global Practices and other relevant Kyndryl Global Practices, as well as members of the global legal department.

You will lead multi-stakeholder incident investigative teams; manage and oversee interactions with customers potentially impacted by incidents; and provide proactive advice in a creative and business-centric way.

The compensation range for this position in the US is $138,480 to $263,160 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city, or local minimum wage requirement.

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave and paid time off. Note: if this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.

The ideal candidate will have existing incident response experience, relevant technical acumen and an understanding of global legal and regulatory developments relating to cybersecurity, data security and, to a lesser extent, data governance and privacy. Customer, deal or transactional experience also will be an advantage.

You will be naturally inquisitive and proactive, possess effective written and oral communication skills, possess strong interview and project management skills, and be genuinely interested in pursuing a career in the increasingly important field of cybersecurity.

Required Experience

• Law degree from an accredited university in the United States
• 5+ years of legal experience
• Existing cybersecurity incident response experience
• An understanding of the IT and/or managed infrastructure services industry and technical aspects associated with the same
• Strong analytic skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work as part of diverse and multi-cultural teams comprised of legal and business colleagues
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience (each is an Advantage but not a Requirement)

• An understanding of US and international cybersecurity, data security and governance, artificial intelligence (AI), and cyber resiliency principles, laws or policies
• Relevant experience and/or a degree in the engineering, software, computer science and/or digital forensic fields
• Additional language skills
