This opportunity is for a pharmacist with recent inpatient experience to provide pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. The role involves working with a well-known medical center in Chicago and includes a mix of day and evening shifts with rotating weekends over a 13-week contract period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including medication verification and checking.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Perform IV medication validations accurately and promptly.
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and medication order processing.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.
- Licensed pharmacist with an active Illinois state license.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system is required.
Schedule:
- Mix of day and evening shifts.
- Rotating weekends included.
