Salary: $50 / Hour

Job Title: English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher

Location: Calumet City, IL

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Hours: 32 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: End of School Year

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher to support K-8 students in Calumet City, IL. The ELL Teacher will implement instructional plans, foster a positive learning environment, and collaborate with administrators and fellow educators to help English language learners thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with district standards and classroom plans.

• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

• Establish effective rapport with students and maintain proper classroom management.

• Collaborate with building administrators and two other ELL teachers.

• Utilize tools such as Imagine Learning to enhance language acquisition.

Caseload Details

• Approximately 30 students, primarily Spanish-speaking.

• Work alongside two other ELL teachers for collaborative support.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education or related field.

• Valid PEL (Professional Educator License) and ESL endorsement (required).

• At least one year of teaching experience (preferred).

• Ability to read and implement instructional plans and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.

• Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.

• Current CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate (as applicable).

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
