Mechanic - Ink Jetting & Mailing Equipment
Shift: Sunday - Tuesday & every other Saturday (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Location: Summit, iL We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to provide technical maintenance and service on a variety of industrial ink jetting and mailing equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production. Join our team and support high-quality operations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:Perform service and maintenance on inserting and ink jetting equipment Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with equipment Prioritize urgent repairs to minimize downtime Work collaboratively with plant and management teams to identify and resolve equipment problems Provide after-hours support as needed to keep equipment running smoothly Encourage and implement new techniques to improve efficiency and problem-solving Use hand tools and power tools for equipment repairs Follow safety and operational procedures to maintain a safe work environment Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred 2+ years of experience servicing industrial ink jetting/mailing equipment Mechanical and technical training is a plus Ability to lift 30 lbs repeatedly throughout the day Comfortable working at heights (climbing ladders when necessary) Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills Knowledge of Pitney Bowes, Bell and Howell, and/or inserting equipment Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Physical Requirements:
