AutoCAD Drafter

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter to join a growing engineering and production team. This is a hands-on drafting role focused on creating and reviewing detailed shop drawings that support manufacturing and production. This is not a warehouse or office position.

Pay Rate: $30-$35/hour (DOE)

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Work Environment: Onsite only (hybrid/remote not available)

Position Overview

The Drafter will prepare and/or check shop drawings to ensure they are clear, complete, and accurate. Drawings will be created from rough or detailed sketches, existing libraries, and product rules, using AutoCAD 2012 . This role supports the Engineering/Product Development Manager and requires strong industry knowledge and attention to detail.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare rough sketches by reviewing specifications and visualizing systems, components, and parts.
• Develop final drawings by interpreting sketches, specifications, and supporting documents.
• Create layouts and detailed drawings showing multiple views, component relationships, dimensions, tolerances, materials, angles, and curvatures.
• Review and verify specifications by examining engineering documents and performing calculations.
• Modify existing drawings based on design changes and updated requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering/Product Development Manager on detailed shop drawings for submittals and production.
• Prepare and program CNC equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience using AutoCAD 2012 .
• Proven ability to create accurate, detailed shop drawings.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and production environments.
• Ability to interpret engineering documents and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
