Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) – 13 Week Contract

Location: Harrisburg, Illinois

Compensation: $2,000 – $2,250 per week (Based on experience)

Shift Details: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours | 13 Weeks

Schedule:

• Monday, Thursday, Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• Weekends: Saturday & Sunday | 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• Off Days: Tuesday & Wednesday

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support high-quality clinical laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing, specimen processing, quality control, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of patient results in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, and process laboratory specimens including blood, urine, fecal, and body fluids
• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures
• Analyze and validate test results while identifying deviations and resolving discrepancies
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy, precision, and compliance standards
• Operate and monitor laboratory instruments, equipment, and temperature-controlled systems
• Document and report results in accordance with laboratory protocols
• Support implementation of new testing procedures and workflow improvements
• Respond to technical inquiries regarding testing methods and outcomes
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and competency requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Associate’s degree accepted for grandfathered personnel)
• Certification as MT (ASCP) or CLS, or equivalent required
• New graduates must obtain certification within 6 months of employment start date
• Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and quality control standards
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume laboratory setting
