TIG Welder

Salary: $25-$29 per hour TIG Fabrication Welder Broadview, IL Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm Pay: $25-$33 an hour Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind manufacture with a fun and laid back environment? Express Employment Professionals in Brookfield has the solution for you! This client is a producer of precision sheet metal fabrications, components, and weldments in the Chicagoland area. The ideal Welding candidate would have experience using both MIG and TIG welding and experience welding aluminum and can confidently work independently. Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other light gauge metals.
- Occasional MIG welding as required by job specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
- Complete custom sheet metal fabrications from start to finish.
- Operate basic fabrication shop machinery and hand tools.
- Create simple fixtures for short-run production lots.
- Grind, size, and finish workpieces to meet precise tolerances and dimensions.
- Set up and maintain own welding equipment.
- Conduct visual weld inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Minimum of 3 years of TIG and MIG welding experience (non-production), or completion of a certified welding program.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clean, high-quality welds on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel alloys.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret technical blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
- Experience creating simple welding fixtures for custom projects.
- Familiarity with grinding, sizing, and finishing metals to achieve required dimensions.
- Physically able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, custom fabrication environment.
- Minimum 5 years TIG welding experience on light gauge metals preferred.
- Visual weld inspection experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive, positive attitude.
