Equipment Reliability Mechanic

Role purpose

Ensure uninterrupted operation of production and facility assets through expert troubleshooting, repair, installation, and continuous improvement of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Key accountabilities

• Diagnose and correct faults on machinery and systems; support equipment layout, fabrication, welding, plumbing, piping, wiring, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and painting.
• Collaborate with maintenance peers, Supervisors, Lead Persons, and operators to analyze equipment failures and drive timely resolutions.
• Execute safe lockout/tagout and control all five forms of energy during service.
• Interpret verbal instructions and technical documentation: service/parts manuals, exploded-view illustrations, hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical drawings, and work orders.
• Request purchase requisitions for repair parts; maintain assigned departmental records; manage portions of inventory; engage outside vendors in person or via phone.
• Maintain facility standards and coordinate with outside service providers as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant mechanical certifications preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic in manufacturing preferred.
• Exposure to 120/208/240/480V; 480V experience is advantageous.
• CNC troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours and work from ladders or platforms.
• Forklift and scissor lift background preferred; training provided as needed.
• Owns necessary hand and power tools.
• General HVAC familiarity is beneficial.
• Self-directed yet collaborative; available for flexible scheduling, including weekends when necessary.
