Our team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales support specialist who is technically astute and a proven multi-tasker. A minimum of 3 years' experience working for a manufacturing company is a must to qualify. The perfect candidate will be detail oriented, a team player, self-starter, and interested in the growth of our company. While this is primarily an on-site position at our Chicago plant we offer some off-site work flexibility.
Responsibilities would include:
- Process orders for retail, food service, and contract manufacturing customers by phone, email, EDI, and customer portals. Experience navigating and working with customer portals is a must
- Facilitate the commercialization of new products including creation in our database, preparing new vendor documentation, and ultimately getting our product into customer portals.
- Build sustainable relationships with customer accounts with the ability to analytically track progress and targeted growth
- Resolve consumer complaints by working with appropriate personnel in marketing, sales, operations, shipping, or quality to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently.
- Track delivery/shipping through an OTIF process (on-time, in full) managing to a weekly, monthly, and annual target.
- Understand organizational objectives to make decisions that align with the company growth and financial targets
- Track and analyzing trade expenses and ROI
- Create and manage sales tools and documents to monitor customer purchasing history to generate incremental sales opportunities
Job requirements:
- 3-5 years of sales support experience
- Minimum of 3 years working within a manufacturing company. Food manufacturing company experience is a plus.
- Must be highly skilled with Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Successful history of managing account portals/websites and portal entries
- EDI and ERP experience required
- Ability to work in a team environment that prioritizes support and collaboration.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively to support the company's success.
- Inventory management and Pricing Analyst backup
