RLD Sustain Construction Company is a vertically integrated builder. We operate with W-2 employees only , strict forty-hour maximums per employee , three shifts per day , six days per week , and no subcontracted core trades . Our execution follows Board-approved master schedules and critical-path milestones (we do not rely on fixed-duration templates).

Role Summary

Lead the entire construction enterprise across six divisions— Residential New Construction, Residential Retrofit, Commercial Construction, Industrial Construction, Site Infrastructure Construction, and Construction Maintenance —and report directly to the Board of Directors. Chair the Construction Executive Committee and drive schedule, safety, quality, and fiscal discipline at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Own enterprise execution against Board-approved master schedules ; run portfolio/PMO governance and critical-path recovery.
• Enforce our W-2 labor doctrine , strict forty-hour caps, three-shift operations, and no-subcontractor policy for core trades.
• Drive safety leadership , quality systems, commissioning/turnover, and audit-grade documentation across all divisions.
• Oversee cost control, internal controls, treasury and audit reporting, and capital allocation to programs with measurable ROI.
• Lead senior talent acquisition, succession, and development; hold Division Presidents accountable to divisional charters.
• Manage executive-level relationships with authorities having jurisdiction, lenders, insurers, and major counterparties.
• Maintain rigorous compliance, ethics, and recordkeeping standards; report quarterly results and corrective actions to the Board.
• Provide visible, on-site leadership across major locations and active programs as schedules require.

Required Experience

• Demonstrated success leading a large construction or multi-division operating company with multi-site programs and annual revenue in the billions .
• Hands-on command of safety leadership , quality systems , commissioning/turnover , and PMO governance .
• Proven ability to stand up or scale W-2 field operations across multiple trades on a three-shift, six-day operating model.

Core Qualifications

• Mastery of program & portfolio management , schedule control/critical-path recovery , cost management & internal controls , and contract & risk management .
• Executive-level stakeholder management with authorities , lenders , and insurers .
• Track record recruiting, developing, and retaining senior leaders and field talent .

Technical Background (Preferred)

• Professional engineering license or construction-management credential.
• Experience integrating renewable-energy and storage systems into buildings and campuses.
• Familiarity with commissioning standards , readiness/acceptance certification , and enterprise document control .

Compensation Policy (Cash-Only)

Consistent with corporate policy, RLD Sustain does not issue equity or equity-like instruments. Compensation is cash-based .

Base Salary: Starting at $1,250,000.00
Annual Cash Bonus: Generous performance-based cash bonuses tied to enterprise project closings (details shared after NDA during the initial Zoom interview).

Work Arrangement

Executive-office role based in Crete, Illinois , with travel to major program locations as required by Board-approved schedules.
