Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing company, for a Materials Planner. Our client focuses on ensuring smooth material supply and production scheduling across their plants.

Job Description:

The Materials Planner will manage the purchase and flow of materials to support production schedules, inventory levels, and business needs. This role requires strong communication with suppliers and internal teams, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage purchasing plans to meet production schedules.
• Monitor POs from creation through receipt, including follow-ups with suppliers.
• Track material availability, identify risks, and escalate issues promptly.
• Collaborate with Supply Planning, Operations, and Procurement teams.
• Maintain reporting metrics, OTIF tracking, and root cause analyses.
• Participate in projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage email communications and supplier meetings efficiently.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of materials planning experience in manufacturing or distribution (CPG preferred).
• Familiarity with supply chain terms like EBQ (Economic Batch Quantity) and MEQ (Minimum Base Quantity).
• BA preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel; experience with SharePoint and PowerBI is a plus (training provided).
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
• Team player with flexibility to adapt and support multiple departments.

Job Summary for Candidates:
