Civil Site Engineer
job summary:
Our client is looking to add a Site Civil Engineer to their team for a power plant development project. This is a 10- month contract assignment located in Downers Grove IL. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of total experience with 5 years of AutoCAD civil 3D. This person will also have knowledge of stormwater and sewer pipe sizing.

responsibilities:
- Perform Civil Engineering duties in the design, analysis, and preparation of calculations, drawings, and specifications for use on specific projects.
- Performing duties such as grading, Earthwork site design, storm drainage analysis and stormwater detention pond analysis.
- Perform and prepare civil site designs and modifications at various industrial facilities.
- Support engineering team with scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines to participate in the development of plans and the basis of design documents to guide construction activities.
- Apply basic technical principles, theories, standards, and concepts in development of engineering design packages.
- Understand and apply applicable federal, state, and local codes and industry specific standards for engineering projects. Understand and be able to determine applicability of local, state, and international building codes.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Provide Material Take Offs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and engineering to determine a project's economic feasibility.
