Job Summary

Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (AVES) in Austin, TX is hiring a full‑time Veterinary Anesthesiologist. The anesthesiologist will provide outstanding care while collaborating with all specialties in a rapidly growing emergency and specialty hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee anesthesia for emergency and elective cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, internists, oncologists, neurologists and other specialists to ensure patient safety.
• Manage sedation protocols and peri‑operative monitoring.
• Contribute to evidence‑based practice and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent experience.
• Board‑certified or equivalent in veterinary anesthesia.
• Strong multi‑tasking, self‑motivation, efficient workflow.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Ability to build long‑lasting relationships within the veterinary community.
