Location: Onsite – South Elgin, Illinois
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000

Join our client as their Lead Business Systems Engineer and take the helm of their internal software platform that drives operational excellence. In this pivotal onsite role in South Elgin, Illinois , you'll own the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of their in-house systems that power order fulfillment, warehouse operations, inventory management, and internal reporting. Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

• 5+ years of full-cycle software development experience, with a proven track record of owning and maintaining production systems independently

• Expertise in C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Strong experience working with Azure cloud platform, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

• Solid database design and query optimization skills

• Experience integrating with Shopify APIs or other e-commerce platforms is a plus

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a capacity to diagnose and resolve operational issues efficiently

• Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills

• High level of accountability and ownership, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with infrastructure automation and monitoring tools

• Knowledge of modern development frameworks and technologies

• Prior involvement in process improvements or workflow automation within operational environments

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and managing internal software systems, ideally within a fast-paced business environment

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment

• Willingness to participate in occasional operational troubleshooting and system upgrades

• Must be able to work onsite in South Elgin, Illinois

Compensation:

• Base salary $150,000 – $200,000 , depending on experience
