Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Storekeeper I for the Ludeman Developmental Center located in Park Forest, Illinois to operate a central supplies storeroom of clothing, laundry, mending, and personal care items (Barber and Beauty Shop Supplies). Oversees maintenance of individual’s clothes by periodic inspection to assess condition of clothes. Maintains laundry inventory.
Essential Functions
- Operates a central supplies storeroom of clothing, laundry, mending, and personal care items (Barber and Beauty Shop Supplies) for the Ludeman Developmental Center.
- Oversees maintenance of individual’s clothes by periodic inspection to assess condition of clothes.
- Oversees the inventory and supplies for Barber and Beauty Shop services.
- Provides training through staff development classes for new employees.
- Maintains laundry inventory on the houses as well as in Central Stores.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years high school.
- Requires one (1) year experience in the keeping of stores and stores records.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires the ability work after business hours, weekends and holidays.
- Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
- Requires the ability to travel in the performance of job duties.
- Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
